Privacy statement

LumeFlux Studio builds and maintains websites with online booking and quote request forms for local businesses. LumeFlux Studio is a Dutch sole proprietorship. We are responsible for what happens to your data on this website.

We only receive data when you fill in a form on this website. That can be the contact form or one of the two demo forms. Please don't send photos in which people can be recognised.

What you fill in depends on the form. It is about this data:

• Your name and the name of your company
• Your phone number and e-mail address
• Your message
• For the demo forms also: address or place, number of m², type of work, preferred date and your booking choices
• Photos you upload yourself in a demo form

We only use your data to answer your question, or to prepare a quote or appointment when you ask for one. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

The privacy law (the GDPR) says we need a valid reason for this. These are our reasons:

• You ask us for something yourself, such as a quote or a call. We need your data to arrange that, even before there is an agreement.
• We have a good business reason (the law calls this a legitimate interest): we want to be able to answer your questions properly.
• Do you become a client? Then we must keep some data for the Dutch tax authorities. That is a legal obligation.

This website uses no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. That is why you don't see a cookie banner.

We do keep simple visitor statistics with Vercel Web Analytics. This works without cookies and does not create personal profiles. We only see totals, such as how many visitors viewed a page.

Our hosting also processes your IP address for technical reasons. This is needed to show you the page and to protect the website against abuse.

The website itself does not store anything you fill in. Your data only reaches us as an e-mail.

For this we work with two companies. They process data on our behalf:

• Vercel Inc. (United States): puts the website online and produces the visitor statistics. The servers may be in the EU and in the US.
• Resend Inc. (United States): sends what you fill in on a form by e-mail to our mailbox. Photos are sent along as attachments.

Vercel and Resend are American companies. Your data may therefore end up in the United States.

This is only allowed if your data is well protected there. For this we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (a privacy agreement between the EU and the US) and/or standard contractual clauses (fixed contract terms approved by the European Commission).

We keep your data no longer than needed.

• We keep an e-mail with your question or request as long as needed to handle it. If it does not lead to an assignment, we delete the e-mail after 2 years at the latest.
• Do you become a client? Then we keep your data for as long as you are a client.
• Data that belongs in our accounts, such as quotes and invoices, we keep for 7 years. That is a legal obligation.

We handle your data with care. This is how we protect it:

• The website always uses a secure connection (HTTPS). What you fill in is sent encrypted.
• Only people who need your data for the work can access it.
• The website does not store your form in a database.

It is your data. Do you want to use one of the rights below? Send an e-mail to info@lumefluxstudios.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to show that it is really you.

These are your rights:

• Access: you may ask what data we have about you.
• Correction: is something wrong? Then we will correct it.
• Erasure: you may ask us to delete your data.
• Restriction: you may ask us to stop using your data for a while.
• Objection: you may object to how we use your data.
• Portability: you may receive your data in a file, so you can give it to someone else.

You can always file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). See autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

This privacy statement is about our own website. Do we build a website for your business? Then data from your customers comes in through that website, for example through the booking form or the AI assistant.

You decide what happens to that data. We only process it on your behalf. In privacy terms, you are the controller and we are the processor.

That is why we sign a data processing agreement with you. This is a contract that says how we handle your customers' data, how we protect it and which other companies we use for this.
